I don't have any plans to do so myself, but could be done by leveraging PowerShell 2.0 Remoting. The reason you'd have to leverage PS remoting is because the Get-itemProperty cmdlet doesn't support connecting to a remote machine natviely. If you just create that cmd as a script block to execute on the remote host, you can get the information you need. The Get-WMIObject cmdlet supports remote querying by using the -ComputerName parameter. If you have a list of computers you want to run this against, you could loop through a data file and run the Get-itemProperty and Get-WMIObject cmds as Jobs making it significantly quicker and multi-threaded.

HTH.
.John

Re: #PowerShell Quickie: Get-Nicbinding.ps1

Hi did you by any chance update this script. I'm trying to use your clean way of doing things on a remote server.

Can you point me in the write direction on how to adapt your script so i can run this on a remote server?

Thank you.

Jorge

Re: So I Resigned From My Pretty Awesome Job.

Awww..no more cool free trips to New Orleans!

Re: #PowerShell and WMI to Determine OS Architecture for Automation

Hi John,

Great snippet, I have tested it in my environment and it works w/o flaw!
This was just what I was looking for and had also the same experience as you regarding W2k3 and "OSArchitecture".

Thanks!

BR / Jimmy

Re: AT&T U-Verse Mobile App for Android

Nice, but too bad Uverse had you go through so many loops for an app that doesn’t do all that much. I’ve had an app for my Droid for my DISH Network subscription and Sling Adapter. I relay all of my DVR recordings and TV programming as it airs live right onto my phone. It’s great for when I’m stuck at the doctor’s office or in traffic, and I owe it all to the innovative technology of my employer, DISH.

Re: So I Resigned From My Pretty Awesome Job.

The Cloud!

Re: So I Resigned From My Pretty Awesome Job.

I'm glad to hear that you have something coming your way that sounds exciting and challenging.
